I have never forgiven "MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE 3000" for mocking this movie.

If you look at the (hilarious) monster alone, this may seem like another desperate 1950s 'alien invasion' sci-fi movies made in the phenomina of "THE WAR OF THE WORLDS".

But what makes this movie unique is that the way the alien conquers us is actually terrifying. It can control what we are most reliant on - technology. Not only that, but it can slowly control our minds and make us fight among ourselves and cuase us to panic, until the world is in shambles.

A real hidden gem. Not avaiable on DVD (yet) but you can easily buy the VHS on the Internet. If you like old sci-fi movies than this is one you HAVE to get!
