Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Danielle R — 20 Jun 2018
I believe that the people who really hated this movie were expecting a slasher or paranormal type of horror, but this is not that- this is a psychological thriller. It's not all laid out on the table for you but I can't understand why so many are saying that 'nothing happens' or 'nothing comes at night'.
The story line is very clear. And what comes at night is symbolic, not concrete- if you're expecting a monster to knock on the door, you will be disappointed. There are some unanswered questions, which I find pretty frustrating.
I won't watch it again and won't recommend that all my friends see it, but all in all it was a very decent movie and I would not call it a 'waste of time'.
