Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Zack W — 12 Jun 2017
Honestly, what was the point of this movie? Aside from a script that was horrid, a budget nonexisting and poor character development, what was the point? They call this movie a horror/ thriller? It was neither.
Don't get me wrong. Had some teenagers from middle America made this film with a shoestring budget, it would have been acceptable. But they didn't. It was a million dollar studio with supposed intelligent writers.
Oh boy.. The story starts out with some unmentioned plague that you MUST wear a gasmask. But only some of the times. I guess it's a plague that only infects people at certain times of the day? And then there were he annoying nightmares the son had, that had no point or meaning to the story.
Then the father takes in another family only to kill them later. Wow. Like this hasn't been done a million times before. I swear, I need to start making movies. This movie only gets one star because of the dog.
The best actor in the film.
