Most of the film is build up, with little payoff. That said the climax was pretty intense and the movie competently made, with solid performances. However, as soon as the credits rolled most of the audience audibly voiced their displeasure.
The main issue with this movie is it doesn't know what it wants to be. Is this a drama? A horror? A survival tale? I think most people came to see a horror film as the trailers make it look like one, but it does not deliver as a horror film (or a drama.
..).
