Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Nyle R — 08 Jun 2017
If you go into this movie thinking it's going to be a scary movie with some sort of monster/beast trying to get to them (which was my mindset from what I saw from the trailer), it's definitely not that mindset at all and is quite different.
However, if you go into this movie thinking of it as a thriller that involves a family just trying to survive after some sort of apocalypse type situation, then this movie might be a slightly better experience for you.
The movie was very slow and hard to watch at parts. It wasn't very suspenseful, although there was maybe a couple of parts that could make someone jump. There really is no "it" aside from the possibilities of the "it" coming.
The ending itself wasn't very good and made me cringe. The audience after the movie ended just laughed and were talking about how stupid it was. Overall, I wasnt impressed.
