Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Buzzkillmcgill — 08 Sep 2017
It comes at night is a well acted cerebral movie, until it's not. I appreciate that you are never quit sure where the plot is taking you, but when it takes you to a place that most viewers probably did not want to go it stops being enjoyable and enters into the realm of movies that affect you strictly for the horrible feeling they left you with.
I'm not strictly against plots that work that way, but this movie seeks to shock the audience with a strange turn but loses the viewers confidence with a poorly realized plot mechanism. I recommend watching this movie for strong acting and a great first and second act.
But I'd encourage sensitive viewers to avoid entirely.
