Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Astrocreep — 28 Jun 2017
It Comes At Night is most certainly a thinking man's horror film, one that has a slow, but intense burn that ultimately culminates in a horrific finale. Though some may have felt misled by the marketing, for those who bear through the long exposition and plodding developments of the story they will be treated to a very bleak and brooding atmospheric film.
It is reminiscent to other slow burn films in the genre such as The VVitch, Cure, The Wailing or Session 9. If you like your horror psychological and steeped with creepiness, you will sure enjoy It Comes At Night.
