Review of It Comes at Night (2017) by Rebecca31 — 07 Jul 2017
Joel Edgerton is living with his family in a desolate part of the woods while an unknown threat is looming. When a young family appear looking for refuge it’s a question of who do you trust. It Comes At Night is a dark and highly atmospheric horror movie that doesn’t bombard you with a cheap jump scare at every opportunity.
Extremely tense and will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s definitely a slow burner but the fear builds constantly and just when you think you’ve figured it out you haven’t. Sometimes it’s the things you can’t see that scare you more and this certainly isn’t afraid to mess with your head. Sure you might be left with more questions than answers when it’s finished but if it can scare me it can scare anyone. Highly recommended.
