Chapter 2 will be much enjoyable for people who have read the book. There is much more origin and storytelling in this one. I read a bad review which criticized one of the opening scenes as being irrelevant and too violent.

There was nothing irrelevant about it. The scene showed IT waking up hungry and the mental influence that IT has over the people of Derry, especially the low bread hateful people. I liked it even better than the first.
