Certainly creepy scary and suspenseful, but perhaps less than the original miniseries did when I was younger. Perhaps the maturity of age does this. However, this is still a great film, more like a coming of age drama like Stand By Me or a Spielberg movie.
A very prominent 80s vibe and tribute. And yes, the new Pennywise is still scary in a new way, but Tim Curry still haunts our childhood.
