This remake will hook you with it's good chemistry and top notch horror villain, even as it struggles with some poor stylistic choices. The Losers Club are great and Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise is amazing.
The stylistic choices come with everything else. The adults are all absurdly overacting an obvious choice, but one that I couldn't stand. Also the bullies were lacking and in a few cases boarding on serious felons more than just simple punk kids.
Overall the most important parts of the film were well realized, with lots of secondary flaws.
