Review of It (2017) by Amber G — 15 Jan 2018
I think this new modification of IT from Stephen King was very superior. It captures the true energy and layered intelligence of the novel. Director Andy Muschietti didn't just see the clown monster, he saw the hidden meaning stitched into the unpleasant story of Pennywise.
I believe he was able to capture the original panic that comes with a shape-shifting, demonic, creature that feeds on the children in a small town, Derry. At the same time, he remained attached to the literary brilliance that made it more than a cheap ghost story.
