Review of It (2017) by Arbor S — 26 Dec 2017
The Loser's Club is a compelling gang, Pennywise and his many forms are utterly terrifying, and overall this is an excellent adaptation of Stephen King's iconic novel. My biggest complaint is that the film makes heavy use of pop-out scares and loud noises to startle the viewer, rather than truly frighten us on a deeper level.
Still, it shines wonderfully in the scenes where the terror settles in slowly, disturbing us with content over flash.
