Andy Muschietti does wonderful work in giving justice to this book-to-film adaptation; the new 'It' is extremely well-made, with exceptional performances across the border from the ensemble cast. The film is unsettling at parts, but mostly funny and heartfelt, which might be the major downside to the film: it is just too funny to be utterly and completely frightening or unsettling.
