Review of It (2017) by Greg R — 28 Sep 2017
While it isn't as frightening as I thought, it's a very innovative adaptation of Stephen King's novel. And it's by far one of the best horror movies of 2017, with Bill Skargard bringing us a bone chilling, yet, lightly funny, performance.
The rest of the young cast in also really good and the It make-up is fiendishly well done, even though some of the effects are obvious CGI. It does deliver some chills, and another interesting things about the flick is that it ain't just a simple ghost film, but also about a though coming-of-age.
Overall, it's an achievement for sure, and I'll be awaiting the 2019 sequel. Recommended !!
