Review of It (2017) by O W — 14 Sep 2017
I was pleasantly surprised since most remakes are total trash. IT really needed a remake to really capture the atmosphere that Stephen King portrayed in the novel. There were several scenes that was played the suspense element nicely; while one scene was truly horrifying in my humble opinion (the projection scene in the garage).
Is it really a horror movie; not really. Like myself you won't feel paranoid or have nightmares from this film. I feel that the film could have been scarier, but when the film decided to be suspenseful and not sexually awkward it dropped the ball hard.
When it comes to the CGI, sound, cinematography, lighting, it was spot on. I definitively and strongly recommend watching this than the original. THIS should have been the 1990 version!
