I thought it was a very good film adaption of the book. Excellent scary scenes without overemphasized grossness. I enjoyed seeing the relationship development of the outcast children and their personal struggles with family issues and the town bullies.
Also the personal struggles of the bully giving us an idea of what makes a bully become one.
