Review of It (2017) by Gary O — 07 Sep 2017
Adaptations of Stephen King's work are hit or miss they range from excellent ("The Green Mile" "Stand By Me"), to terrible ("Graveyard Shift" "The Lawnmower Man").
This new version of "It" is definitely one of the excellent adaptations. The movie is extremely well made and acted. Despite it's more than two hour running time, you will never be bored.
Contrary to what the critic for "The Huffington Post" says, the movie is very scary. Despite a few changes which are commonplace when novels are adapted to the screen, the movie is quite faithful to its source material.
The cast is terrific. They are all very believable in their roles. One of the scariest horror movies I have seen in years. Hopefully chapter two will be as good as chapter one.
