Review of It (2017) by Bradley C — 07 Sep 2017
The trailers were dark and menacing. They made the viewers believe we were in store for a much darker and more haunting restoration of the original 1990 'IT.' Although the movie delivered the scares I wanted I couldn't help but feel like Pennywise the clown could've tormented the kids mentally a little more like he did in the original. He didn't do much talking but he did deliver. I only wish we had more dialogue from Pennywise so we could fear the character more and not be so overwhelmed by his cgi counterparts on the big screen.
Bill Skarsgard did a fantastic job as Pennywise and the kid actors were a lot better than I expected. Nothing there went wrong. The visuals and acting chops are definitely worth watching and taking in and this is definitely a memorable adaptation. Overall, I highly recommend this movie.
