Review of It (2017) by Bruce%20 W — 07 Sep 2017
A truly scary film, for me this was the most anticipated film of the year and i'm not even a keen reader of King's novels or of reading all together. This film has jumps, the premise is interesting yet creepy and the execution is just perfect.
The character development is very well done and everyone involved has their 1:1 on screen with the audience. Whats great is that this isn't just a horror film, it's also a coming of age film that shows the realism of growing up and friendship - it's very real on that front.
Pennywise was creepy enough to make you jump on screen but also interesting in a way that you couldn't wait for him to make his next appearance. I hope chapter 2 is as good, because this is the horror of the year.
Brilliantly cast & executed, the acting is superb, and a truly frightening villain who was scary right up until his end which we all know will be brief.. horror at it's best. A masterpiece.
