A nice effort. At first I was not interested in seeing this film. Then I saw the advanced snapshot of the scene with the sailboat. WOW! I then became very intrigued. Saw it opening night. Some nice parts, some scary scenes, suspense, thrills, but.
.. It seemed to drag get slow towards the end. To me it lacked effectiveness & became less scary as the end was near. I have not read the book(s) & don't know the background. Almost reminded me of Friday the 13th.
I really expected this to be more scary like a Jeeper's Creepers. Well... The end did have similar elements. I would recommend but this isn't a must see in my opinion.
