I was fortunate enough to see a preview of 'IT', and my god is it good. It creates tension and thrills that haven't been seen in recent years. Rather than most horrors, IT does not solely rely on jump scares.
It also has time for good character development, which is rarely seen in modern horrors. I especially like Andrés Muschietti's nod to his other movie, Mama. Where a creature that look like 'Mama' torments the children.
Overall this movie is amazing and I totally recommend it.
