Review of Isolation (2005) by Gemma F — 27 Sep 2007
From the credits on, you can see the debt this one owes to its predecessors--but never mind: Bleak, muddy, cold, quite brilliant in terms of ratcheting tension and getting you to care. I also find it interesting that while I've seen this plot attached to a million U.
S. d2DVD stinkers, and it's not like these Irish indie film types had *more* money, they still managed to make a film in which every beautifully-composed frame is art. Could it be that they just *cared* more?
