Really well executed horror film. What makes this stand out in the genre at the moment is the acting talent and writing which make for a really tense and surprisingly convincing journey from the outset.
The ambiguity surrounding the actual creature adds to the effect too. I was really scared and I don't give a shit about BSE or GM sandwiches which is, I suppose where the idea was ultimately drawing from.
This is one of those films that is definately more than the sum of it's parts. The idea on paper would have sounded daft.
