An absolutely delightful story about a boy who goes on a mission to rescue his best friend after the dog is taken away by authorities. With a story that focuses on man (boy) and his best friend with an undertone of systemic oppression (could be interpreted in a lot of ways); superb stop motion graphics; jokes (good and corny) strewn throughout the full movie and an absolutely killer voice cast - Isle of Dogs was truly wonderful and heartwarming.
