Review of Isle of Dogs (2018) by Sanjay R — 29 Mar 2018
Wes Anderson's films are very much hit and miss with me, but lately they've all been hitting, and this one continues that trend. In addition to its clever name and beautiful animation, this films screenplay and voice performances are unique, interesting, and all wrapped up in that signature Wes Anderson tone.
The plot points/synopsis aren't particularly suspenseful or clever in how conflicts are resolved, but the interactions between characters are pleasantly quirky and plenty entertaining by themselves.
