Wonderfully creative, visually great, some really funny moments. But the human hero was not well developed, and the dog hero was a little simple (of course, I suppose). Just not quite as emotionally engaging as we would have liked.
There were some great scenes and awesome visuals. There were also a couple of clunkers like an operating room scene at the end that really didn't belong. I guess I'm spending too much time explaining why it didn't get 5 stars for me- but for sure it is a solid four and well worth seeing.
