"Very" must be used a lot to describe this movie--controversial, shocking, brutal, disturbing, surreal, visceral, artistic, significant. A relatively simple story, with considerable subtextual complexity, told effectively with the scenes arranged in reverse chronological order.
It takes film-making to a place light-years from American commercial cinema. Viewers are strongly cautioned.
