Review of Irrational Man (2015) by Harper S — 12 Aug 2015
The casting is perfect and the acting is great. Emma Stone is better than ever. It doesn't have the subtleties of "Crimes and Misdemeanors," but as a lightweight reimagining of "Crime and Punishment," it's more diverting than most of the formulaic Hollywood crap I've been squirming with all summer.
(Even as "lesser" Allen, I'm going to remember it a lot longer than "Ricki and the Trash.").
