I enjoy Woody Allen's movies but some take a few times to get into but this one is just kind of odd. The actors give it their all especially the wonderful Parker Posey. Joaquin Phenoix and Emma Stone are fine but the script just doesn't do them favors.

Woody Allen movies are rarely boring but this one was really boring. The laughs just aren't there and the story itself just isn't interesting like even Allen's lesser films. This is definitely a filler movie in Allen's yearly filmography that I hope got enough slop out of his mind to prepare for something great for this year, but hey I said that after the somewhat better but still mediocre Magic in the Moonlight.
