Very depressing. The performances were depressing. The plot was depressing. Even the set looked depressing. BUT, this film was amazing. Very well acted and very well directed. The is was Hector Babenco's "TOP 5" best directed films.
Although the ending was "eh", it was still a very powerful movie.
