Good lord it's bloody! But the gore is done very well. James purefoy, Paul giamatti and Kate Mara all put in strong performances to compliment a viscerally entertaining historical piece. The documentary style voice over was dreadfully out of place, and really tripped up the pace of an otherwise well measured film, so luckily it only came in a couple of times.
