Review of Ironclad (2011) by Ivor K — 26 Sep 2011
John Lackland's eight century long PR disaster continues in this historically accurate(ish) 'cut-em-up'. James Purefoy is in danger of being type cast as a hack'n'slash merchant; that said Kate Mara's inclusion does break the monotony somewhat.
Brian Cox and Derek Jacobi, who may have wandered onto the set by accident, can't breathe any life into this one I'm afraid. Definately one for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
