A very gory film. It is set just after the signing of the Magna Carta and King John going back on his word. Paul Giamatti had a viciousness and hunger as the corrupt King John, but other than that this movie was a flop.
I love the history behind the Magna Carta, but Robin Hood is a much better film that shows some of the same concepts but with much better acting and story. Overall, this film was not very good.
