Review of Iron Will (1994) by Chris C — 20 Jun 2007
This movie is brilliant. This movie isn't about a dog race or the Alaskan snow or even about defeating Scandanavians. It's about perserverance and the desire to overcome adversity. The whole plot centers around Will trying desperately to save his family from bankruptcy and their farm's foreclosure.
This movie is about the internal struggle that one must go through to achieve a higher purpose. Throughout the film Will undergoes a gradual but steady metamorphosis. From a boy who had the security of a loving father, to a man who needed to "step up" to ensure peace of mind to the people he loved most.
