Review of Iron Sky (2012) by Jeffrey G — 13 Jun 2012
The nice thing about 'B' movies is that you watch them with no expectations whatsoever. No bankable stars (usually), or high budget post-production or special effects. So that means the story telling has to be of an unusually high quality to pull it all off.
Those that do become cult movies. Those that don't, well, no one remembers those anyway. This one, I'm really not sure which way it'll go. Julia Dietze totally nails it as the totally ditzy Nazi school teacher (doesn't hurt that she's hot and dressed to kill either), and the premise of the movie - Nazis on dark side of the moon - is just crazy enough to make you laugh even before the movie starts.
It's probably a good DVD to put on in the middle of the night when you don't need (or want) to think too hard.
