Review of Iron Sky (2012) by Dave L — 09 Sep 2012
The premise of Iron Sky caused quite a stir upon its release. I'm not entirely sure why because the main uproar should've been about how catastrophically shit it actually is. In a nut shell Iron Sky is a tongue in cheek about Nazis escaping at the end of WW2 to set up a colony on the moon, then one day return to conquer the earth.
All the budget was clearly spent on, it must be said rather impressive CGI, with a pound fifty left over to pay for actors, screen writers and a director. The script is awful, the acting is dire and although the main idea of the film is ok, once a few Nazi's get to earth the diegesis becomes laughable.
In fact within the first five minutes you'll be wanting to turn this off. Maybe with another twenty re-writes they would've had something but as it stands im afraid it's dog shit.
