Review of Iron Sky (2012) by Maicol O — 13 Oct 2012
Rented from Amazon. This movie is an exceptional piece of cinema art, story telling and steampunk rolled into one. Where Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow utterly fails, this film succeeds. Ultimately Iron Sky is film noir, a damning reflection on where our society is headed, and a rollicking good yarn.
The heroine in particular, who is insanely naive about what the 1945 Nazis stood for, is a standout. You really feel for her character. Overall this film appeals to open minded and intelligent people, which may limit its initial success.
However I am sure Iron Sky is destined to become a cult classic.
