A film that really does make the most out of its low budget and still managing to look decent, Iron Sky falls short when it tries to work out in a modern Earth context. Surely if they still existed as they did pre-1945, Nazis would have developed over 70 years? Instead, Iron Sky amps up the silliness factor to 11 with all manner of Nazis invading from the "far side of the Moon" in spaceships.
Ending in implied nuclear turmoil (shown, but in very small terms), Iron Sky is comically unsatisfying and lacks any real stand-out to make it relevant.
