Review of Iron Sky (2012) by Vuk O — 23 Dec 2012
After all the hype, I expected a movie with a lot more attitude and dark comedy. Everything looks the way it should - a Reich in space, Nazi spaceships, their lunar base and army. Visually, it's awesome, but it lacks decent dialogue, actual satire and parody, while it needs a smarter screenplay and better actors.
You'd expect that after three years in the making, this would be a movie you must see at the cinema, but it's not, you can easily watch it at home. There's better satire in an average episode of South Park, The Daily Show, Family Guy or even a skit from Onion News.
The action scenes are good, but they should have been epic. Iron Sky gets 3 out of 5, no more. Also: Mel Brooks would make this so much better.
