Review of Iron Man 3 (2013) by Staci S — 25 Jan 2015
Robert Downey Jr. once again owns the role. However, this time around, he owned it much more as Tony Stark than he did as Iron Man. One disappointing factor in this movie was the limited screen time the "Iron Man" had.
In fact, there were moments where Tony was trying to fight off the bad guys without the aid of his Iron Man suit and I was like, "aw man, if only he get his Iron Man suit on, this would be a lot easier for him.
However, I felt it also proved to some people that Tony Stark can still kick ass even without the Iron Man suit. And don't worry, there is still a good chunk of Iron Man action in this movie. And I felt that Tony Stark's character got even further developed and this movie at times also threw us for a loop.
Also, I know I said Pepper Potts was a little annoying in Iron Man 2, well she has more than redeemed herself in this one. She kicks ass here, heck, there were even a few moments where SHE had the Iron man suit on, and that was pretty cool.
Even though there isn;t as much "Iron Man" in this one as there are in the previous 2, this one is still entertaining nonetheless, in fact, kind of liked it better than Iron Man 2. not Iron Man 1 though.
The ending was a bit controversial with Tony getting rid of all of his suits. Sure, he wants to move on with his life, so it feels like a fitting conclusion, but how's he supposed to continue fighting along-side his fellow Avengers in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films if his suits are no more? He'll probably make new ones or something.
who knows? Either way, pretty good movie, but I look forward to seeing Iron Man in the Next Avengers film.
