Review of Iron Man 3 (2013) by Emilio M — 01 Jan 2015
Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley were excellent, but the rest is best forgotten. The series went downhill in 2 with the increased use of Paltrow who is annoying at best and who's best performance was in contagion where she dies at the start.
But the makers surpassed themselves with this effort where Paltrow is the hero and Tony Stark has a nervous breakdown for no good reason and spends most of his time not being Iron Man at all and is just some bloke who has anxiety attacks.
And to cap it all off, the dumbest move of all; they remove the Arc reactor from his chest because they surgically remove the shrapnel from him. Er...why didn't they do that in the first film?
