This movie was alright.

Certainly a step up from Iron Man 2.

The biggest issue I have with the movie is that there isn't a whole lot of Iron Man to be seen in this movie, and that is mainly because it's about Tony Stark, and not Iron Man. Now that all seems very constructive and I suppose it's hard to do something amazing with the character now that he's a part of the beloved Avengers.

I couldn't help but to feel a little disappointed with the all-around tone of this sequel.

First of all I'd like to mention an issue that seems to be very prominent in any marvel movie these days, and that's the fact that the villains are a complete lackluster and this one is no exception.

I won't spoil anything by going into detail, so I'll leave it at that.

Tony Stark is witty as always as to be expected and the movie did make me laugh occasionally which also made me realise how important this character is for the avengers.

You can keep the Cap' in the back along with the hot Black widow because the only characters we really need to establish a succesful avengers movie are the Hulk and Iron Man.

However, there are two sides to this coin in a sense that the stand-alone movies now suffers from the lack of Hulk or vice versa.

Then we have "Pepper" dear god this character is starting to wear down.

I simply could not understand why she had to be assigned the role she did.

I get that girl power and feminism are strong themes these days, but it seemed needlessly vain. I guess I just don't see all the glory that others are feeling overwhelmed from, neither by the marvel movies nor some of the prominent side characters.

As I already said, this wasn't really much of an Iron Man movie as much as it was about Tony Stark himself, and that's fine for what it is, because I understand that Marvel's characters are now all part of a larger universe so apparently we can't have much room for the heroes being shown in their own induvidual glory no longer, however the stand-alone titles are suffering from it.
