Review of Iron Man 2 (2010) by Oscar H — 15 Mar 2014
There's an outdated feel to it all, from its cold-war view of America to the AC/DC soundtrack. Iron Man 2 is a polished, high-ozone sequel, not as good as the original but building once again on a quirky performance by Robert Downey Jr.
Still has great performances from the cast and Mickey Rouke was ok as Whiplash, though this time the script felt a tad week and although the action is satisfying, it just just too quick and flawed, like the film was rushed because of the hype, that's not to say that this isn't a good film, it's not that bad, a good sequel but not as good as the first film, which is a shame.
Hoping that Iron Man 3 will clear out the bugs and tacky dialog. Still worth a look, an ok sequel, if you watched the first you might as well watch this.
