Robert Downey Jr. keeps offering his best while Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson help to maximize the effort, the special effects never disappoint and the villain is a light improvement over the original.
Despite that, "Iron Man 2" is a step-down from its predecessor due to its overload of gags and some weak plot points.
