Review of Iron Man 2 (2010) by Axl Javier P — 11 Jun 2016
This movie does have it's up's and downs, some more than others. It's up's are good performances, especially from Robert Downey Jr, good special effects, pretty decent fight sequences, and some good humor/one liners that we've come to expect.
But, unfortunately, it has it's fare share of downs which are sub plots don't go anywhere (for example Pepper Potts becoming CEO of Stark Enterprises bit quits later because she's lost intrest though she didn't do anything with it which makes it a wasted plot and another one is Tony's heart is failing or as Jarvis says it "The thing that is keeping you alive is slowly killing you," but then he just makes a new one without having a creating anything new which makes it a waste), Tony Stark acts too much like a jerk who ACTS like he knows what he's doing, but, unlike the original, doesn't pull through and use his brilliance to get his way through things, and the only thing making it berable is Robert Downey Jr's performance as Iron Man and do you know how Whiplash was marketed as the main villian, well you hardly see him and he really isn't, Justin Hammer (an asshole in a suit) is, but I can't help but stress that that was the 1st one's villian and we don't need antoher one like him but we do.
So, in the end, Iron Man 2 does have problems but is totally watchable.
