80's Childhood Revisited!
From an adult point of view this movie had terrible acting and dialogue that only a cheesey 80's movie can deliver with an unrealistic plot. From a kid's point of view growing up in the 80's this movie was ...Awesome! Louis Gossett Jr. was the definition of what a tough, gritty decorated war hero should be with a heart of gold. The lead role played by Jason Gedrick was a representation of many kids dreams of being a fighter pilot. He was the cool, approachable older brother all the middle school kids looked up too and wanted to be like. Not every kid wanted to grow up to be a fighter pilot but every kid wanted to be a hero that faced their fears and fought for something they believed in. There are 2 obvious cameos in this movie. See if you catch them! Hint: Yeah! Johnny!...".
