The Annual Cal Wushu Tahoe Game-a-thon was a spectacular success! All 3 major systems were represented, with a PS2, Gamecube, and TWO Xboxes running on 3 TVs + 1 Projection display. It was just INSANE. The Gamecube was running the new Mariokart game nonstop, and Halo and various fighting games on the Xboxen. The hipper bunch went with the DDR on the Playstation 2. Man, I wish I had remembed to bring a net hub to run some net games of CounterStrike & Warcraft III. Maybe next time... Maybe next time....

I understand some people even went skiing and snowboarding! I ran into a few when I went to Kirkwood on Saturday, and several at Sierra on Sunday. I was all set to do some drinking on Saturday night, but then I laid down on the bed for a quick nap and couldn't get myself up until 1 am, but it seems everything had died by then. I've really got to get more sleep. I spend too much time on my vacations and holiday just sleeping, when I really oughta just do it on my weeknights instead of playing games or chatting or writing blog entries..

Pam from work came along too, to my surprise. I believe she had a pretty good time. It certainly helped keep things interesting on the drive up. A mental note on volunteering my vehicle for big club trips: Don't. I mean, it wasn't as bad as 2002 collegiates... you know, THAT trip. But I think that was the first time I just opened up my vehicle arbitrarily for the organizer to put people into, and things have never been good ever since. It seems that the less you you enjoy a particular person's presence, the more likely they are to stick with you for the WHOLE WEEKEND. Again, nothing on the scale of 2002 Collegiates. Just noting that things could've been better. I'm going to revert back to my old pattern of putting together a car group myself and just keeping the organizer in the loop (Though even that was a bad idea one time). If that fails, I'll happily cart up one buddy and gear and food. Or just not commit to anything..

Props to zwooman & PoisionIIvy for the cat-herding. They did great, I'm just a grumpy guy.
