Review of Irina Palm (2007) by Dean P — 28 Sep 2007
I think one of the biggest mistakes a person could claim of this film is to say that it is about a sexworking middleaged woman. Although that is an important aspect of the film it is not at the core of it.
Desperate measures called for in desperate times would be more accurate to me. This film shows incredible heart for its darkness, and becomes incredibly sweet. Kevin, who I have only been exposed to through Spanish Apartment and Russian Dolls, gives an impressive preformance but nothing comes close to Marianne Faithfull.
