Review of Irina Palm (2007) by Christian H — 01 Jun 2008
Really great movie making. The director keeps it simple, not too much talk and no need for it, because the pictures and the mimics speak for themselves. If you laugh in one scene, you may as well cry in the next one.
So much emotions in this movie, but never too much, or kitsch or cliché. Just all well balanced. Marianne Faithfull really nails it as the desperate grandmother wanting to do everything to save the little boy.
I really recommend this one and I'm proud it's been produced partly in Luxembourg. An absolute must see.
